At the Macon County Conservation District, we know that by taking small steps to restore and preserve our natural world that we are making a big impact on the lives of others. It is because of this positive impact that we remain passionate and dedicated to preserve and protect native plants and animals, geological features, and historical sites. Whether that means we manually remove invasive plant species, increase the awareness of natural restoration through special events, plant trees or native wildflowers, or even implement innovative programs to educate and engage the community; it is our mission to support projects that will make a positive effect on the environment around us.
