Notice is given that the Decatur Urbanized Area Transportation Study (DUATS) has an amendment on file for the public’s review and comments for the Fiscal Year 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). A fiscal year covers the period of July 1 through June 30. The TIP describes the major transportation improvements planned to be undertaken during the next four (4) years within the Decatur Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). 2025 Candidate Filing

The 2025 Candidate's Guide is now available. Links for all required forms are available in the guide. Candidates are strongly advised to obtain legal counsel regarding their legal qualifications for office, the proper method for completing the petition forms with respect to the office, the qualifications of signers and circulators, and other information. The County Clerk’s Office will not notarize any candidate forms and cannot give advice on how to complete the forms or the legal qualifications for office. Candidates should contact the district office for information regarding term length and board composition.

Polling Place Changes

POLLING PLACE CHANGE Due to changes with certain polling locations, the County Clerk’s Office has begun mailing new voter ID cards to those affected. The new ID cards reflect the change in polling locations. Voters are asked to carefully review their voter ID card prior to the election to verify their polling location. Voters who cannot locate their voter ID card may verify their polling place by visiting: https://ova.elections.il.gov/PollingPlaceLookup.aspx Election information and updates can be found at maconcounty.illinois.gov. If voters have questions they can call the Macon County Clerk’s Office at 217-424-1309 or email elections@maconcounty.illinois.gov.

2024 Macon County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan 2023/2024 Plan Update Macon County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in conjunction with the participating cities, villages and townships completed the 5-year update of the Macon County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. Macon County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is dedicated to involving the public directly in the review and update of the plan. A draft of the plan can be accessed by clicking the link below.
