Job Title:      WIC/FCM Assistant Director

Minimum Qualifications

1) Registered Nurse: An individual licensed as a professional nurse who can provide proof of current registration with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. It is strongly recommended that the R.N. have a Bachelors or Master’s degree. It is strongly recommended that R.N. has experience or course work in maternal and child health and in maternal and child nutrition, lactation, nutrition assessment and nutrition education if they will provide nutrition or breastfeeding counseling or 2) Registered Dietitian:  An individual who uses the title Registered Dietitian (R.D.) and can provide proof of current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or 3) Nutritionist: a) A nonregistered nutritionist/dietitian who has a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nutrition Sciences, Dietetics, Community Nutrition, or Public Health Nutrition

Must have experience with directing fiscal budget practices, office management, personnel, and program development. Must be able to plan, develop and maintain appropriate policy and procedure to meet the needs of the residents of Macon County. Must have the ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative internal and external working relationships. Must apply sound judgment to make appropriate decisions and resolve problems and/or conflict. Must work with diverse community groups. Must have excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Must have the ability to provide leadership and work with diverse community groups. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, doctors, the public, and other professional personnel. Must have attention to detail and the ability to interpret many state rules and regulations. Must have good verbal, listening, writing and public speaking skills. Experience with program development and management and supervision of a multi-disciplinary staff preferred.

Must have the ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and/or weekends. Must have a dependable vehicle for use during work hours, valid Illinois Driver’s License, and appropriate auto insurance. Must be able to carry, pull, and manage a minimum of 30 pounds of equipment daily.

Salary: $60,000
